SSP Kulgam Shri Shridhar Patil was also present during the ceremony. As has been reported that today in the evening, some unknown militants fired upon constable Shabir Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman resident of Bogund Kulgam near his home. He was shifted to hospital for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead. A massive manhunt has been launched in the district to nab the culprits. The deceased is survived by his wife and 13 months old son.
